RBI Search named DPA publisher of the year

Reed Business Information Search (RBI Search) was awarded the title of DPA publisher of the year at the 14th Data Publishers Association (DPA) annual Awards ceremony, which took place on 23 May at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, Kensington, London.
RBI Search won this category as in 2005 it moved beyond being a “directory publisher successful on the web” to an integrated online business. According to the judges “It is fitting that this year’s conference headline theme is ‘Understanding and Managing Change’. RBI Search has demonstrated that they have grasped this message and are not only managing but succeeding in the online world.”
The Spotlight took home two accolades this year, winning Directory of the year in the business category, as well as highly commended for their online directory www.spotlight.com. The Spotlight is used by the vast majority of professional artists, casting directors and agents in the UK.
The Directory of the year for consumer titles went to GET 2006: Directory of Graduate Employment and Training, Hobsons.
